The one thing completely absent from the Cheney-Bush regime is any semblance of intelligence, in any sense of the word. In the same way that Al Qaeda uses its Islamic religious fascist fanaticism to justify its criminal acts, the Cheney-Bush regime uses its Christian religious fascist fanaticism to ignore reality and justify its lies, illegal surveillance, torture, corruption, incompetence, etc.
Electing anti-fascist congressional candidates in November is the last best hope the U.S. has to return to a democracy from the pseudo-theocratic, fascist criminal, secret police state, plutocracy of the Cheney-Bush regime.
