Deborah G. Crocker, 67, died at her home in Homer Aug. 9, 2011. She had lived in Alaska for six years, having moved from Bellingham, Wash., in 2005. She had vacationed in the state several times and picked Homer as where she wanted to spend her last years.

Deborah was born in Wareham, Mass. on Sept. 4, 1943. She lived in Massachusetts for most of her life, and was last employed as a junior high school science teacher. She had to give up teaching in 1980 after a serious accident.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Jane Gadbois of Somerville, Mass., and Sarah Nordell of Bellingham and their families. Her ashes will be buried in Wareham.
