I would like to take this opportunity to ask all of you to get out and vote Oct. 5 for a new mayor and three new council members.
I would urge you to vote for Jim Hornaday for mayor; Doug Stark and Beth Wythe for three-year council seats; and Val McLay for the two-year council seat.
I feel these candidates have the proper viewpoint to make the correct decisions to guide the future course of the city of Homer, decisions that will help create and retain a Homer we can all be proud of.
We do not need to transplant the philosophy of the Homer Planning Commission any futher onto the city council.
Again, get out and vote Oct. 5. Vote for Jim Hornaday, Doug Stark, Beth Wythe and Val McLay.
