Sept. 19

An Office of Children's Services employee at 1:37 p.m. asked police to stand by at an interview at a Homer Spit address.

A man at 7:52 p.m. reported another man had been assaulted on the Spit. Police responded. The victim refused medical treatment and was taken into protective custody.

A hospital emergency room worker at 8:13 a.m. reported a patient was shot at while walking to the hospital. Police responded and determined the patient was not hit by a bullet.

Sept. 20

A caller at 9:10 a.m. reported seeing men in hazard suits in the area.

Police at 1:44 p.m. assisted another agency in dealing with a juvenile. The juvenile was arrested and taken to the jail.

A woman at 11:29 p.m. reported someone walking around her house with a flashlight.

Sept. 21

Police at 10:59 a.m. saw a dump truck lost its load near Mile 3.5 Kachemak Drive. A loader came to clear the road.

A caller at 10:57 a.m. reported hearing two gunshots in the Mount Augustine Drive area. Police responded.

A man at 5:03 p.m. reported seeing a sheen of fuel in the harbor. A harbor officer was advised.

Police at 8:35 p.m. helped a woman with a dog she found near the Sterling Highway.

A woman at 9:22 p.m. made a 911 call that a driver in a car backed into her car near Pioneer Avenue and then left the scene.

Police at 9:42 p.m. issued a summons to a 33-year-old man for fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana.

Sept. 22

Police at 10:13 a.m. served a search warrant at an Ohlson Mountain Road home.

A caller at 4:04 p.m. reported people in radiation suits walking through a Heath Street neighborhood.

A caller at 6:01 p.m. reported people possibly shooting air guns at birds in the Freight Dock Road area. Police responded but could not find any shooters.

A man at 6:49 p.m. reported destruction of animals in the Felix Circle area.

Sept. 23

Police at 10:36 a.m. stopped a 23-year-old man driving on Kachemak Drive and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.

A caller at 1:38 p.m. reported a Subaru parked in a tidal zone on the Spit. Police checked on the car and found a man inside was napping and all was OK.

A caller at 1:50 p.m. reported possible drug activity near a Bunnell Avenue building.

Police at 9:53 p.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers near Mile 156.5 Sterling Highway. Police arrested a 20-year-old woman for violating conditions of release.

Sept. 24

A man at 8:28 a.m. reported a drunk woman with cuts to her hands and feet on the deck of a Lake Street address. Police and EMTs responded and took a 32-year-old woman into protective custody.

A caller at 8:43 a.m. reported a woman driving with a suspended license and possibly under the influence of drugs.

A caller at 12:41 p.m. reported a man hunting ducks within city limits near Kachemak Drive. Police responded and did not find hunters or any harmed ducks.

A caller at 10:15 p.m. reported fireworks being set off at the Spit.

A caller at 10:46 p.m. reported plastic placed across the road at Main Street and Bunnell Avenue.

Sept. 25

Two people called at 12:57 p.m. to reported a person hunting ducks in city limits of Kachemak Bay near Kachemak Drive and East End Road. Police responded.

A caller at 8:05 p.m. reported a man left a Sterling Highway store with merchandise he did not pay for. Police arrested a 22-year-old man for fourth-degree theft.

A caller at 8:31 p.m. reported neighbors were concerned about a man camping on private property in the Little Fireweed Avenue area.

Sept. 26

A caller at 3:20 a.m. reported two young people hitchhiking on Pioneer Avenue who almost stepped out into the road.
