From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Homer Boys and Girls Club holds a rummage sale at the clubhouse next to the skateboard park on the Sterling Highway. Out East End Road, McNeil Canyon Elementary School has a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
BEST PLAY HARD, PLAY FAIR BET: Hey, you kids -- don't watch TV. Get outside and play. Well, if it's crummy weather -- as if -- head over to the Boys and Girls Club for Nickelodeon's National "Let's Just Play" day from noon-2 p.m. Saturday with a potluck and field games. Bring a potluck dish and get a free raffle ticket, or tickets are $2 each.
BEST CLASSICAL BET: "This is a concert not to be missed," resident classical music lover, the incredible Rosemary Fitzpatrick, says of this Saturday's concert by violinist Heidi Senungetuk and pianist Juliana Osinchuk on piano this weekend. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Bunnell Street Gallery. The duo performs "Sonatina in D major" by Franz Schubert, "Four Romantic Pieces" by Antonin Dvorak and "Sonata for Violin and Piano" by Maurice Ravel.
