Sept. 26

A caller at 10:03 a.m. reported a student was injured Sept. 23 while riding on the hood of a moving car in the Homer High School parking lot.

A person at 12:17 p.m. made a 911 call that a naked woman ran into a Pioneer Avenue building and locked herself in an office. Police responded and took a 44-year-old woman to the South Peninsula Hospital emergency room.

A caller at 5:09 p.m. reported a driver in a white van drove through the pedestrian crosswalk on the Sterling Highway near Pioneer Avenue while a child was in the crosswalk.

A caller at 6:28 p.m. reported a woman in a pink-and-gray coat laid down in the street on Pioneer Avenue, got up, walked away, laid down again and then headed toward a bluff above the beach. Police responded and took a 44-year-old woman to the hospital and into protective custody.

Sept. 27

A woman at 8:19 a.m. reported a man in the bushes outside a Main Street home. The man ran off when the woman left her home.

A caller at 9:21 a.m. reported a death of a 79-year-old man at an assisted living facility.

Sept. 28

A caller at 10:55 a.m. reported a man shooting a rifle at Karen Hornaday Park. Police responded and discovered a pellet gun was being fired.

A caller at 12:47 p.m. reported a broken window and a Monitor stove stolen from a Beluga Circle home.

Police at 4:14 p.m. stopped a 20-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and arrested him for driving while license revoked.

A woman at 4:15 p.m. reported the possible theft of a bag of jewelry over the past year.

A caller at 11:49 p.m. reported a woman leaving a liquor store was too drunk to drive. Police contacted the suspect driver, a 28-year-old woman, and arrested her for driving under the influence.

Sept. 29

A man at 8 a.m. reported his father's valuables missing.

A caller at 9:48 a.m. reported a break in at a Ben Walters Lane address.

A caller at 10:21 a.m. reported a break in at a Main Street business.

Sept. 30

Police at 1:25 a.m. stopped a 27-year-old man driving on East End Road and warned him for DUI and issued him a summons for not having liability insurance.

Police at 1:57 p.m. assisted firefighters in responding to a truck fire at a Sterling Highway parking lot. The fire damaged a truck but did not destroy it.

A caller at 10:36 p.m. reported cars racing on Bishop's Beach. Police responded but could not find the cars.

Oct. 1

A woman at 10:36 a.m. reported a Jeep was abandoned in her Kachemak Way driveway.

A man at 7:10 p.m. reported his car tires were damaged.

A woman at 7:57 p.m. reported talking to a person who has suicidal ideas.

Oct. 2

A man at 12:07 a.m. made a 911 call that he heard gunshots and screaming in the Pioneer Avenue area.

A woman at 4:26 p.m. made a 911 call that goats had eaten all her vegetables at her Kachemak Drive home. Police redirected the caller to a nonemergency number and also advised the Animal Control Officer.

A person at 10:59 p.m. made a 911 call of shots heard in the Spit area.

Police at 11:25 p.m. impounded a 1994 Buick car for a drug investigation and arrested a 23-year-old man for disorderly conduct. Police at 3:26 a.m. got a search warrant and searched the car.
