Pet of the Week

Sheeba rules the jungle -- well, the pushki choked wilderness of downtown Homer. From her perch by the window she loves looking out and watching the birds. A beautiful, longhaired black 2-year-old girl, Sheeba gets along well with other cats and is affectionate with people and is very playful and outgoing. Sheeba loves to be held and brushed, too.

If you would like to adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Call 235-3141 for information.
