Services are at 10 a.m. Oct. 9, 2009, at Evergreen Memorial in Anchorage. Burial is at noon at Angelas Cemetery, and a celebration of life will follow at 2221 Muldoon Road, space no. 920.

Dianne came to Juneau in 1965. She loved the articulate ways of Alaska and soon moved to Anchorage to pursue her love of art. She opened the White Elephant Thrift Shop, Stuckagain Heights Restaurant, LaFors Academy of Fine Arts, La Palate Restaurant, all in Anchorage, and Underwater Sea Odyssey in Homer. Dianne had an artistic way with working with earthly treasures. She also had great talent in making food edibly artistic. She lived in Homer for 12 years. She moved back to Anchorage where she lived the rest of her life.

She is preceded in death by her daughters Marie Veltri and Jessica Stevens.

She is survived by her family, William Stevens of Kenai, Melodie and Daniel Mahoney of Homer, Merrilyn Papasdora of Wasilla, Marty Veltri of Anchorage, and Jennifer and James Stevens, both of Anchorage; many grandchildren: Gideon Mahoney of Wasilla, Jayson and Heather Mahoney of Wasilla, Jon and Alisha Mahoney of Homer, Carrie Mahoney of Homer, Shellie Mahoney of Wasilla, Stephanie and Billy Jones of Homer, JoLeigh and Robbie Porter of Homer, Jenna Mahoney of Homer, Vincent and Holly Papasdora of Wasilla, Joanna Papasdora of Wasilla, Dean Papasdora of Wasilla, Millissa and Jessica Veltri of Anchorage, Hailey Whittie of Anchorage, Michelle Whittie of Homer, Gage Flyum, twins Jessie and Jamie Flyum of Anchorage; great grandchildren Kyler and Orianna Mahoney of Homer, Savanna Mahoney of Wasilla, Adam Mahoney of Homer, Michael and Andrea Ardinia of Homer, Lukus Mahoney of Homer, Audrianna Mahoney of Wasilla, Felicity and Silas Jones of Homer, and Nova and Vega Papasdora of Wasilla.
