Rebekah Smith and Justin Theriot
A reception followed at the Beluga Lake Lodge, where guests from all over the state of Alaska, west and east coast celebrated the wedding while enjoying fresh caught seafood, home made mead and beer and dancing to the live music of the RayJen Cajun Band. Rebekah and Justin would like to thank their family and friends who traveled to Homer to share their special day. The bride and groom send special thanks to their parents for their love and support.
Parents of the bride are Sophia Anderson of Kenai, Michael Smith of Louisiana, and Bob Stanford of Kenai. Rebekah is a 1996 graduate of Kenai Central High School and is attending the University of Alaska Anchorage. Rebekah works as a certified nurses aide at South Peninsula Hospital.
Parents of the groom are Ron and Charlotte Theriot of Reno, Nev. Justin is a 1994 of Chancellor High School, Virginia, and a 2000 graduate of University of Alaska Anchorage with a bachelor's degree in journalism. Justin works for American Marine on the north slope as a Spill Technician and Captain.
Rebekah and Justin will honeymoon on a two week cross-country trip in Costa Rica.
The afternoon outdoor ceremony was a beautiful fall day along the beach. They were married by their friend Jeff Laube of Nikiski. The ceremony was followed by a traditional Athabascan friendship dance, officiated by the bride's aunts and mother.
