It was our hope that more people would learn about the good done by the Foundation through grants to worthwhile projects of area non-profit organizations. A quick check reveals that there were 44 grants ranging from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars awarded to Homer and Anchor Point non-profit organizations and charities in the last fiscal year. These grant categories covered works in arts and culture, capital projects, conservation/environment, education, general operating support, health and social services, organizational infrastructure, philanthropy, sports and recreation, and youth programs.
The work and fun of this project brought in $4,214. Because of our belief that the Foundation is so worthwhile, we are contributing a matching amount. It is our hope that others in the community will consider contributing to the Foundation. For information, contact Joy at 235-0541.
