Writers speak for Book Week




As part of Alaska Book Week this week, local writers hold a public forum at 7 p.m. Friday in the Campus Commons at Kachemak Bay Campus. Speaking on the topic, "Writers Discuss the Books that Influenced Their Lives and Writing," panelists and local writers Rich Chiappone, Erin Hollowell, Nancy Lord, Tom Kizzia and Miranda Weiss talk about books that have mattered to them and influenced their work and lives. The public is invite to join in the discussion and share books that have influenced their lives as well.

Alaska Book Week is a statewide celebration of Alaska books and authors, with events held in communities throughout the state.
