HEA receives excellence in communication awards

Homer Electric Association recently won top communications awards in the Northwest Public Power Association 2011 Excellence in Communication competition.

Homer Electric earned a second place award in the brochure/pamphlet category for its new electric service brochure. In addition, HEA won second place for its Nikiski Generation Plant video in the wild card category.

Homer Electric has received a total of 24 communication awards from NWPPA's Excellence in Communication competition since 1999.

Now in its 18th year, the contest recognizes the top communication efforts from NWPPA member utilities. NWPPA recognized the winning entries last month at the Northwest Communications & Energy Innovations Conference in Portland, Ore. NWPPA received 170 entries from more than 35 different member utilities.
