"The Cove," a documentary about the slaughter of dolphins in a small Japanese coastal community, won the Audience Favorite Award for the sixth annual Homer Documentary Film Festival. It barely won over "Food Inc.," the runner-up for the award. The Grand Jury Award went to "Every Little Step," a film about dancers struggling through auditions for the Broadway revival of "A Chorus Line."

Next year's festival will be held Sept. 23-30 at the Homer Theatre.
