Pratt holds 'Trinkets or Treasures?' testing
Curious about what those family treasures are made of? Bring metal objects for free, nondestructive testing from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Pratt Museum lower level. Using a portable X-ray fluorescence machine on loan from Bruker, a manufacturer of high-tech imaging instruments, visitors can see what objects are really made of. Learn about the technology and how it is used to manage and research museum collections.
