Sunrise on Kachemak Bay has offered up blasts of color this week, despite the ever-dwindling daylight hours. This week, the Homer area recieves less than 10 hours of daylight, with sunrise slipping to after 9 a.m. and sunset falling before 6:45 p.m. Next week, Daylight Savings Time ends, making the evening sunset even earlier.
