A health aide in Nanwalek at 1 p.m. reported a 68-year-old Nanwalek man died at his home. The Alaska State Medical Examiner determined the man died of natural causes and released the body to the family for a village burial. No foul play was suspected.

Troopers at 8:05 p.m. stopped a woman driving a red Ford pickup truck near Mile 1 East End Road after seeing that the driver and a passenger did not wear seat belts. Troopers allege the driver, a 59-year-old Anchor Point woman, was drunk and arrested her for driving under the influence.
