South Peninsula Hospital offers a two-day Safe Sitter class from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at the hospital annex in the Hillas Building, 126 Pioneer Ave., Suite 3. The class fee is $70. The class teaches basic first aid, what to do for a choking infant or child, how and when to call for help, and basic infant and child-care techniques. Call 235-0258.
