Thomas Henry Tice IV




Former Homer resident Thomas Henry Tice IV, 37, died Aug. 27, 2006, in Los Angeles Calif. Mr. Tice was born Nov. 22, 1968, in Anchorage. In 1972, his family moved to Homer, where Mr. Tice grew up on the Tice family homestead on Diamond Ridge, attended school and earned his GED from Kenai Peninsula College in 1985. He spent most of his adult years in the Lower 48, traveling and working as a cook and construction laborer.



 
 
Mr. Tice enjoyed the outdoors, reading, drawing, writing poetry, writing songs and playing his guitar. Although he led a troubled life, his family finds comfort in knowing he has finally found peace.

Mr. Tice is survived by his mother, Linda Johnston of Nocona, Texas; his sisters Heidi Gerrety of Anchorage and Eva Solomon of Bradenton, Fla.; his grandmother Gayle Tice of Anchorage; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Tice.

His ashes will be scattered on Diamond Ridge in Homer.
