Youth orchestra says thanks
The Homer Youth String Orchestra would like to express our deep gratitude to the Homer Foundation's Youth Advisory Committee for their grant enabling us to purchase new music for our student musicians. Generous donations to the YAC from individuals in our community and the Ashley J. Logan Fund have made it possible for us to acquire new pieces in a variety of genres, including folk, classical, Latin and pop. In keeping these dedicated young musicians interested in orchestra, the YAC is not only supporting their musical development, but also teamwork, discipline and self-expression. We're so fortunate to dwell in this lovely town that supports the arts on all levels!
All are invited to see the type of program the Homer Foundation's Youth Advisory Committee supports this Sunday when the Homer Youth String Orchestra will debut some of their new music at the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra Fall Concert. Come on out and feast your ears!
With thanks and appreciation,
Kate Meyer, program sdministrator
Homer Youth String Orchestra Club
