Don't trade salmon for coal
Coal kills salmon, it poisons subsistence users and provides China with cheap energy. It does not create enough jobs or state revenue to justify risking important salmon areas.
Gov. Parnell, I am not impressed. You yourself said that you would not trade one resource for another. Alaska's resources are the heart and soul of our state. Both Republicans and Democrats need to be thinking long-term about an economy that can fund our state and support our residents.
Try again. Keep good on your promise not to trade one resource for another.
