The Kachemak Bay Equestrian Association Annual Membership Meeting is 6 p.m. Monday in the library at the West Homer Elementary School. The evening will include a slideshow recapping the Cottonwood Horse Park season events, election of board members, and refreshments. The Homer Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the NERRS building on Kachemak Drive. Topics will include Prince William Sound, Upper Copper River, and Upper Susitna River Finfish issues and some statewide wildlife issues. The Homer Boys & Girls Club holds an Open House from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 18 at the club in the old Homer Intermediate School building. Get a tour of the club, listen to a musical performance and watch skits, and buy baked goods. Free refreshments. For more information, call Kelly Jackman, Unit Director, at 235-2772.

The Alcoholics Anonymous 9 a.m. breakfast club meeting is every Saturday at New Life Tabernacle Church, the blue church uphill from Fritz Creek Store on East End Road. Bring something to eat. For information, call Clint, 235-7120.

The Homer Grandparent Support Group meets from 6-7:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at the Homer Senior Center. Grandparent Carol Coleman facilitates the meet. The group is for grandparents raising their own grandchildren who want to develop a supportive community. Coffee and tea is provided. For more information, call Carol Coleman at 235-1003.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. If you'd like to help with awareness at the local level in November, please contact Kelly Cooper at 226-2110. Also, if pancreatic cancer has touched you or someone you love and you would like more information, call the same number for informational material.

Homer Council on the Arts is recruiting board members, committee members and volunteers to be involved with supporting the arts in Homer. Please call 235-4288.

The Christian Science Society, located at 3774 Bartlett Street, will hold a Thanksgiving Day service at 11 a.m. Nov. 24. Hymns, prayer and readings from the King James Bible and correlative passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures written by Mary Baker Eddy comprise the service. Time will be set aside for sharing testimonies and expressions of gratitude. All are welcome to this hour-long service
