The city is going to fund millions for a new library and yet cut funds for Homer Community School. We have a library and do not see lines outside to get in the doors. I would bet that the same people that are against Fred Meyer voted for a new library. A Fred Meyer store would bring in more revenue to the city, as some of us know. Can't have it both ways folks and now with the threat of no funding for HCS, maybe some of you will look further than just being so opinionated about a box store coming into Homer. Remember the old saying, "Money does not grow on trees." Too many groups and organizations are always looking for a hand-out. The big-pocket spending is obviously going to have to come to an end if the city has to go so low as cutting funding that affects activities for all ages.
