Homer Chamber of Commerce’s mixer Friday will be hosted by Homer Council on the Arts from 5-7 p.m. at HCOA, 355 West Pioneer Ave. Festivities include introduction of HCOA’s new director, live music, a silent auction, networking for businesses and more. Raffle winner drawn
The last ticket drawn in the Homer Chamber of Commerce raffle Nov. 9 was one purchased by Sherry Kalander of Homer, leaving Kalander with the choice of a new vehicle or $15,000 cash. Donna Bondioli, a member of the chamber’s board of directors, won $1,000 for selling the winning ticket to Kalander. Laura Dawson’s ticket was the next to last drawn, netting Dawson $499. Proceeds from the raffle, an annual event, will be used for chamber operations and landscaping of the visitor center. More than $3,000 in additional cash and prizes was awarded.
Santa stops by open house
Santa Claus will pay a visit to NOMAR’s 13th annual open house Nov. 26. Doors open at noon, with Santa arriving about 1 p.m. There also will be refreshments, door prizes, sales and a photographer taking free pictures of Santa and friends. Beginning Nov. 26, NOMAR’s holiday hours will be noon-4 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
