Vivian Matveev

April 15, 1956-Oct. 15, 2011

Vivian Matveev, 55, passed away in her home on Oct., 2011. Vivian was born April 15, 1956, in Kokomo, Ind., where also wsa raised. She came to Alaska in 1991 and settled in Homer, where she raised her three children.

She attended the Kachemak Bay Campus and, as she did with everything she attempted, she excelled.

Vivian attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and recently celebrated 17 years of sobriety. She wanted it to be known at the time of her passing that alcohol was not a factor in her death.

Her humor, generosity and kindness will be greatly missed. She was an extraordinarily loving and caring mother and friend.

Vivian is survived by her children Harrison Smith, Heather Flynn and Hilary Henson, and her seven grandchildren.
