Twenty-year Alaska residents Pastor Paul J. and Pamela A. Trissel died Nov. 6, 2010, in Kenai and Soldotna. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 20, 2010, at The Rock church in Wasilla.

The Trissels went all over the United States during their lifetime of ministry in the Church of the Nazarene, but Alaska was always home. Family brought them their greatest joy on earth.

Paul was an avid fisherman and hunter. He always said he'd only "drink coffee, fish or hunt if he was alone or with someone." He was never without a smile, hug, prayer and blessing for everyone he came in contact with.

Pam worked with the Title 1 and migrant school kids in the Alaska public school system for 18 years. She found great joy watching those kids grow and learn. She also loved to garden and tried to "keep Paul in line."

They are survived by his daughter, Laurie Krous and her husband, Cliff, (kids Mykaela and Nathaniel) of Spokane, Wash.; son, Paul and his wife, Ginger, (kids Casey and Kenny) of North Pole; and son, James and his wife, Jenni, (kids James and Jason) of Soldotna.
