Wedding of Megan Corazza and Jan Spurkland, 4 October 2009, Homer, Alaska

Homer residents Megan Corazza and Jan Spurkland were married Oct. 4, 2009, in Homer at the home of the bride's parents, Rich and Sonja Corazza. The groom's parents are Tobben and Tania Spurkland of Seldovia.

Megan graduated from Homer High School in 1997 and graduated with a bachelor of arts from Whitman College in 2002. She works as a commercial fisherman in Prince William Sound. Jan graduated from Dimond High School, Anchorage, in 1996 and graduated with a bachelor of arts from Western State College in 2002. He works as a ski coach and teacher.

The couple met while coaching the Homer High School ski team. They fish together in the summer. They spent their honeymoon running and scuba diving in the Cook Islands.
