Randy Frank Sterling
Mr. Sterling was born April 21, 1957, in Michigan. He came to Alaska in 1980, where his path in life led him to Nikiski. He worked on many platforms and most recently worked for ASRC. Randy touched the lives of many people. He was always the first to volunteer for the most dangerous job. He was always the first one to call for help and always the first one there. All of his friends from ABATE, ASRC, former co-workers and people in Nikiski will miss him deeply. The family wrote, "We love him and will miss him."
He was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Sterling; aunt and uncle, Maryann and Eddie Sterling; and niece, Angela Renee Porter.
He is survived by his son, Joshua Frank Aseltine; grandsons, Justice and Jace Aseltine and Zander M. Stroh; daughter, Colleen Stroh; granddaughter, Aviana E. Stroh; brother, Bill Sterling; sister, Juanitta Kay Porter; and many friends and family around the United States.
Longtime Nikiski resident, Randy Frank Sterling, 53, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, unexpectedly at his home in Nikiski. Memorial services were held Nov. 24, 2010 at the Moose family center in Kenai.
