Kachemak Bay Campus

Registration for spring semester classes is underway. New classes include visual basic programming, sculpture, genetics, physics II, creative writing, FAS-special education, human relations, trigonometry and more. See the course schedule, www.homer.alaska.edu. Register online or at KBC.

Student Association's Foreign Film Fridays will be held Dec. 4, 7 p.m., with the 2007 Global Film Initiative's feature from Algeria-France, "Enough!" Open to st udents and the public. Donations accepted. Next film, Jan. 15, is the award-winning Croation feature, "Fine Dead Girls."

To enroll in literacy, adult basic English as a second language or GED classes, call 235-1602.

KBC is accepting letters of interest from individuals wishing to serve on KBC Advisory Board. Call 235-1656.

Scholarships

The Forrest Jones Memorial Scholarship is awarded the first week of March. The amount of the scholarship for 2010 will be $3,000. Deadline for applications is Jan. 10. For applicants to be eligible, they must be enrolled in or applying to one of the following in an aviation field or a high school senior applying to an accredited college or university, a licensed flight school or a related certification program.
