Festival of Gingerbread

The Pratt Museum's third annual Festival of Gingerbread will soon open in the lower level of the museum. To enter your gingerbread or sponsor a house, call 235-8635 or stop by the museum. Prizes will be awarded to bakers in each category by a panel of judges. Categories are: group and individual, adult, 13 to 17 years, 12 years old and under, family and professional baker.

A fund-raiser for KHLT, the event includes a gourmet dinner of prime rib, Alaska scallops, select wines and desserts. A silent and live auction is held for bear viewing trips, Kenai Fjords tours, Kenai River rafting, fishing charters, local art and memorabilia from Clarence "Poopdeck" Platt, including jugs of raspberry wine and 78-rpm vinyl records.
