Victoria Claire Chapple  
Homer resident Victoria Claire Chapple, 50, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Providence Hospital in Anchorage. A memorial service was held Nov. 25, 2002, at St. John's Catholic Church in Homer, and she was buried at Hickerson Memorial Cemetery on Diamond Ridge.

Ms. Chapple was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1952, in Saranac Lake, N.Y. She graduated from St. Pius the 10th High School in Saranac Lake and moved to Alaska in 1975. She was a certified nurse aide.

Her family wrote, "Vicci was a free spirit with a natural zest for life. She loved music and could play for hours on the piano. Her kind heart, generosity and contagious smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her."

Ms. Chapple is survived by her daughter, Kentoria Wise of Palmer; her parents, John and Betty Chapple of Homer; three sisters, Rebecca Sawyer of Lake Placid, N.Y., Alex Chapple of Palmer and Jessica Chapple of Clarkfork, Idaho; brother and sister-in-law, John and Peggy Chapple of Homer; nieces, Stephanie Pitzman, Jennifer Chapple, Elysha Chapple, Claire Christy, Leah Christy and Kirsten Baltz; nephews, J.C. Chapple, Derek Bousquet, Brett Bousquet, and Jeremiah Kettering.
