Christmas bells ring in AP

by Jennifer Henley

The Christmas parties are being planned. The gifts are being bought. The decorations are being hung and the lights are brightening up the night. The holiday season is in full swing. Traveling down the highway and turning on the radio brings us Christmas carols, trying to get us all in the mood for Christmas. Don’t touch that dial, and if you do they will be on the next station you dial into. Travel safe over the holiday season. Merry Christmas to all!

Anchor Point Chamber of Commerce

The chamber is gearing up for its Jan. 13 awards banquet. Don’t forget to think about the well-deserving people and businesses in our community that you would like to nominate for the awards. The categories are: Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Youth of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year and Employee of the Year. The chamber also is looking for recommendations for a “Golden Deed Award.” It also is accepting nominations for businesses and residences that are exceptionally well decorated for the holidays. Nominations for both contests, including name address and phone number should be submitted to the chamber by calling 235-2600, e-mailing apcoc@xyz.net or by filling out a nomination form available at local businesses.
