In the late 1970s, Mrs. Goesch returned to Washington and lived with her brother.

While on vacation in Arizona in 1983, she met Courtney, and they were married in November 1986.

Shortly after the marriage, the couple moved from Arizona to Washington, and in 1993, came to Wasilla. In 1996, they moved to Anchor Point and resided there until the present.

Mrs. Goesch will be well remembered for her work at the Anchor Point Senior Center.

Mrs. Goesch contributed endless volunteer hours to the senior center and Anchor Point community affairs.

She was reputed to make the best pies on the Kenai Peninsula. In addition, she made countless quilts, wall hangings, place mats, pillows, aprons, Christmas tree skirts, etc. These were sold to benefit the senior center.

In 2002, in recognition of her contributions, she was chosen as the citizen of the year in Anchor Point. She is sorely missed by her friends.
