We are in a hole and we must find a way to dig ourselves out. We are daily feeding our sons and daughters to the god of war without getting any worthy or honorable return for their bloody sacrifice. Our commander in chief is a failed leader. His war council is made up of politicians who have no knowledge of war and have used deferments to avoid gaining any personal experience when they were needed and asked to serve. They continually ignore the advice of the Pentagon in preference to their own egotistical fantasies. They are as lost and bewildered as a mouse in a maze with no way out and their only plan is to “stay the course,” which is no plan at all, only a death sentence.
We cannot permit another three years of this nonsense. Each of us must speak our minds now and not wait until the next election to see what is going to happen. We are experiencing an administration that lacks the ability to make intelligent choices.
The result of these errors has led it to the abuse of power to try and force a way out. This strategy is used by most “strongmen” in Third World countries, but it is not condoned by our Constitution and is not the way of a democracy. We are the greatest country in the world, not because of what we have but in what we believe. We are an open country and the envy of the world. We do not believe in secret meetings in our government open only to the rich and powerful. We do not torture people to gain “intelligence;” we use our intelligence (American ingenuity) to gain information.
The average American is a good, honorable person who knows the difference between right and wrong regardless of their politics. Listen to the voice of the people like a storm surge saying that this is wrong and we are not going to take it any longer. Join your fellow Americans and voice your opinion.
