In Brief - Traffic signal delayed a week
Homer’s long-awaited traffic signal wasn’t installed early this week, as sharp-eyed drivers might have noticed. A problem with the controller delayed the planned installation on Tuesday, said Jason Baxley, a project engineer with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.
“You’re going to be a small town for a week longer,” he said.
Baxley said workers will install a new controller early next week and time the controller. He expects it to be running on Monday or Tuesday.
