I am too old to re-enlist so I could go make the big bucks for blood. I was in from 1980 to 1991 — Grenada 1983, Panama 1989, Desert Storm 1991. I was either there, or part of the build-up for these actions.
I agree with you that not all Iraqi women are illiterate. But by news accounts, as many as 80 percent are. Women were considered lower class citizens, so it was not important that they could read or write. And I don’t care about their religious practices.
We did not force them into a constitutional vote, we gave them the freedom to vote for a constitution, one they wrote, not us as you claim. Get your facts straight.
If this country had the voter turnout that Iraq had, we just might have Gore or Kerry as president. Scary, huh?
Honestly, Maka, if you are so miserable in this country, move to France. They are just as ungrateful for everything the United States has done for them as you liberals are.
Just to be clear, I don’t like war, in Iraq or anywhere else. But regardless of my personal feelings, I will support the troops.
Amelia McKinney, I have not, and never will forget 9-11-01. Well done. Get ready for people to bombard you. Analyze what they say, and you will find that most of what they claim is based on fantasy and wishful thinking. They won’t let facts or truth get in their way.
