Unanimously passed Ordinance 09-58, accepting $7,168 in reimbursement from the Alaska Department of Transportation for commercial vehicle inspections.
Passed Ordinance 09-59(S), adding 3,155 feet of road improvements to Highland Drive, Uminski Court and Craftsman Road.
Passed Ordinance 09-60, amending the 2009 budget by $85,000 to go toward cleanup of a fuel spill at the raw water pump station.
Passed Ordinance 09-62, accepting $1.8 million through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to be used for the sanitary sewer rehabilitation project. The project will entail maintenance work on Homer's sewer system in an effort to prolong its useful life.
Passed Ordinance 09-54, moving regular council meetings up to 6 p.m.
Passed Memorandum 09-158 which would cause the city to vacate a 30-foot public use easement near Bunnell's Subdivision. The city will retain the utility easement.
Passed Resolution 09-125, amending the economic development advisory commission's bylaws to include an allowance for telephonic participation in meetings.
Passed Resolution 09-126, setting the 2010 regular meeting schedule for the city council, economic development advisory commission, library advisory board, parks and recreation advisory commission, advisory planning commission, port and harbor advisory commission, lease committee, public arts committee, transportation advisory committee and the permanent fund committee.
Passed Resolution 09-127, approving the latest amended lease between the city and the University of Alaska Anchorage for the Kachemak Bay Campus at the intermediate school. Annual rent for the university will come to $82,455.
Passed Resolution 09-128, acknowledging the sale of surplus equipment, including a plow truck, a forklift with an 8,000-pound capacity an oak 1-inch end panel, two men's gold rings and other odds and ends.
Passed Resolution 09-129, asking the International Pacific Halibut Commission to hold its annual meeting for 2012 in Homer.
Passed Ordinance 09-64 which would give the city the go ahead to join the State Ombudsman in its first reading, but a second reading was postponed until after the Ombudsman could come to Homer to make a presentation on the services.
