Officials in Homer, Kenai and Soldotna are giving serious thought to taking away drunk drivers' vehicles, on top of the mandatory jail sentences now in effect.
Area businesses are doing brisk business during this holiday season. Two major reasons for the prosperity are a population increase of about 30 percent in the past two years and $5 million in dividend checks have already or will soon find their way into local pocketbooks.
