She was born July 3, 1964, in Denver, Colo. Vicki was a longtime resident of Kodiak and was most recently living in Homer. She moved to Mustang, Okla., in 1980 and lived there until 1985. She graduated from high school in Mustang in 1982.
Vicki married Steven Knisely and gave birth to their daughter, Amy Marie, in October 1986. In 1989, Vicki married John Hangstefer and their daughter Tami Rose was born in March 1991.
Vicki had many hobbies, such as reading and making blankets for her church and family. She loved the outdoors and animals, and as a child participated in 4-H. She drove long-haul trucks in Idaho and later drove a tow truck in Anchor Point.
She had a compassionate heart toward others who were less fortunate. She was an active member in the community, working with the food bank, shelters and schools and other organizations. She enjoyed celebrating her birthday and looked forward to the Christmas holiday season.
Vicki is survived by her daughters, Amy Marie and Tami Rose; father, Omar Stratman; mother Marie Rice and stepfather Dale Rice; brothers and sisters Daniel O’Neill, Craig Stratman, Alex Rice, Scot Rice, Tanya Willis, Kent Rice and Cody Stratman; and many nieces and nephews as well as close family and friends.
