Tim was born May 9, 1967, in Sterling, Ill., to Bruce Folkers Sr. and Barbara (Lego) Kazmierczak. He grew up in Sterling and Tucson, Ariz.
Tim had a love of wild places and was at home where the wonders of nature surrounded him. He was particularly knowledgeable about desert habitats and had a special understanding of animals and their behaviors. He had an exceptional gift for growing and nurturing plants, and put his talent to use in his work in landscaping. He was employed by Titan Enterprises in Anchorage.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Robert Folkers Sr.; his uncle, Larry Folkers; his maternal grandmother Lois Lego; and paternal grandfather, Elmer Folkers.
Tim is survived by his partner, Rebecca Kinsel, and daughter Alieaha, both of Anchorage; his parents, Bruce Robert Folkers Sr. and Barbara Kazmierczak; his son, Timothy Kendall Folkers of Homer; his brother, Justin Patrick Folkers of Boston; his paternal grandmother, Orpha Folkers of Tucson; his maternal grandfather Richard Lego of Sterling; and many loved extended family members.
