The western Kenai Peninsula will see more snow over the New YearŐs Eve weekend, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast calls for 2-4 inches of snow today, with highs in the mid-20s to lower 30s south of Clam Gulch. Around Kachemak Bay, winds will be 10 to 15 mph out of the east shifting to the west 15 to 30 mph after midnight. Snow continues on Friday. High temperatures are predicted to be in the upper teens to mid 20s with a south wind 10 to 15 mph. From Saturday through New YearŐs Day, expect mostly cloudy weather with a chance of snow with high temperatures in the in the upper teens to mid 20s and lows from 5 to 15 above. The Kachemak Bay marine weather forecast calls for a continued gale warning through today, with freezing spray, a northeast wind becoming 35 knots and diminishing to 15 knots by afternoon and seas to 7 feet. Winds continue west to northwest from 15 to 20 knots through Sunday, with seas 4 to 6 feet.
