William was born April 22, 1971, in Provo, Utah. He moved to Michigan and then to Anchor Point in 1979. After graduating from Homer High School in 1989, William attended Western Washington University, lived in Idaho and moved to San Jose, Calif., where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
William’s hobby was sky diving; he completed over 200 jumps.
William is survived by his parents, William H. Sherwood III of Clearwater, Fla., and Pam S. Fields of Homer, and eight siblings: Aaron Sherwood, of San Jose, Calif.; Jared Sherwood, Palm Harbor, Fla.; Reuben Sherwood, Anchor Point; Elizabeth Darling, Battleground, Wash.; Joel Sherwood, San Jose; Ben Sherwood, Homer; Claire Sherwood, Bangor, Maine, and Ky Fields, Homer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Lou Schwartzwald, 32-year residents of Anchor Point.
William H. Sherwood IV, 34, former Homer resident, died Dec, 20, 2005, near Beatty, Nev., in an auto accident.
