Josh Brann and Jennifer Ulbrich were married Oct. 16, 2010, in an outdoor ceremony at South Lake Tahoe, Calif. The wedding was followed by dinner and dancing at Fjeldheim, a private home.

Jenna Raymond and Benjamin Schiffelbein
Paul Raymond and former Homer residents Steve and Julia Martin announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Raymond, to Benjamin Schiffelbein, son of Stan and Kate Schiffelbein of Colorado Springs, Colo. Jenna graduated summa cum laude from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor's degree in dietetics. She is now a registered dietitian and is employed as the Wellness Specialist at Weld County School District 6 in Greeley, Colo. Benjamin, soon to graduate from the University of Northern Colorado with a double-major in political science and philosophy, will begin law school in the fall of 2012. A wedding is planned for May 26 in Fort Collins, Colo.

Robert "Bob" Carpenter and Karen Zeigler
Robert "Bob" Carpenter and Karen Zeigler married Oct. 12, 2011, at Alaska's Ridgewood Lodge in Halibut Cove, with Kevin Sidelinger officiating. The Carpenters met in January 2010 in Fairbanks. Bob retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2007, where he served for 22 years in production management and was responsible for scheduling aircraft maintenance. He is a 2007 graduate of the University of Alaska Anchoarge School of Nursing/TVCC Campus program. He was employed at Bassett Army Community Hospital for three years as a civilian registered nurse on the Medical Surgical Floor and Family Practice Clinic.

Joshua Michael Brege and Erin Holly Fleming were married Aug. 20, 2011, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Herron, Mich. Father Charles Donajkowski officiated the full mass ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Ken and Monica Fleming of Hawks, Mich., granddaughter of Nyda Fleming of Rogers City, Mich., and granddaughter of Ann and Cornelius Haske of Metz, Mich. The groom is the son of Michael and Sandra Brege of Belknap, Mich.

Bob Neubauer and Nancy York celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2, 2011. They were married in Sacramento, Calif. after having met there at the USO in August of 1959 when Bob was 19 and Nan only 18.

Katie Bauer and Daniel Turner were married July 9, 2011, with a Bah' wedding service in the morning and a Christian service at the Methodist church in the afternoon. The bride wore the dress worn by her mother, her grandmother and her great-grandmother at each of their weddings. The groom wore his class A Blues as a firefighter.

Anniversary: Joyce and John Williams
Joyce and John Williams met in Huntington Beach, Calif., in 1960. John was in the Navy on leave and saw Joyce Meis drive by with a couple of friends in her black and red 1955 Ford convertible. He caught up with her and took an opportunity to jump in her car and impress her with his big personality. A year later they were married. Steven is their oldest son, followed by Darren, then Joyce got her little girl, Stephanie.

She is a 2006 graduate of Homer High School and is currently pursuing a bachelor's dDegree in nursing at Kachemak Bay Campus. Terence is the son of Daniel Reid Dalton and Coleen Pearl Dalton of San Francisco. He graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in environmental science and is currently pursuing a master's degree in public pealth at Emory University in Atlanta. Terence and Christa met in Perth, Australia, while volunteering with Youth With a Mission International doing healthcare work. They enjoy hiking, gardening, fishing, painting and providing healthcare to developing nations.

The bride is daughter of Kenneth and Monica Fleming of Hawks, Mich., and works for Hillman Community Schools. The couple will be exchanging wedding vows on Aug. 20, 2011, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Herron, Mich.

April Chesebro and Rafael Skorski
Byron and Jackie Chesebro of San Diego, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter April Marie Chesebro to Rafael Skorski. Rafael and his parents, Zdzislaw Skorski and Regina Skorska, are originally from Bialystok, Poland, and have lived in New Britain, Conn., for the past 30 years. April and Rafael met in April 2009 in Homer and will be married on Aug. 2, 2011, the 70th wedding anniversary of the bride's maternal grandparents, Howard and Kathleen Atkinson, who will be attending.
