I Am From Nature

By Briea Gregory

I am from the tall, scarlet fireweed, as I stand beside it, little white puffy balls in my hair, the wind for their music.

I am from the woolly clouds that race and chase each other across the crimson evening sky, touched with a tinge of pink.

I am from a snowflake, doing cartwheels in the air as I play with all of my friends, while the wind guides us in lots of joy.

I am from the trees, towering almost as tall as skyscrapers, with leaves waving in the air, or needles sticking the air sharply.

I am from a dolphin, rising way high in the air, picking up the tangy scent of salt, right before landing in the sea with a SPLASH!

I am from a warm sweater that I wear some sort of a very, very blustery winter day, with the wind howling in the cold.

I am from a cute little bunny rabbit, hopping all around, nibbling at grass shoots as I listen to every birdie's song.

I am from an apple, bright red in the warm, yellow sun, holding all the seeds I once had as a blossom with pink petals.

I am from a buzzing honey bee, with a job that is: going from flower to flower, collecting nectar to make you honey.

I am from a leaf, light green in the spring, dark green in the summer, and red, yellow, orange, or brown in the fall.

                                    I am.
