Garden designer Adams signs new book at Bookstore

Homer garden designer and author Brenda Adams signs her second book, “Cool Plants for Cold Climates,” from noon-2 p.m. June 17 at the Homer Bookstore. Cool Plants is published by the University of Alaska Press, who also published her previous book, “There’s a Moose in My Garden.” Adams is an award winning garden designer and flower photographer. Both books will be available for purchase.

Bunnell Arts Dinner in the Street is Father’s Day

Bunnell Street Arts Center holds Dinner in the Street in front of the gallery on Bunnell Avenue from 4-8 p.m. June 18. Tickets are $50 and include dinner and a hand printed napkin. For an additional $35, keep your handmade soup bowl made by local potters. The dress-up them for this year’s dinner is “Alaskana Tuff and Fancy.” The dinner also includes live entertainment, a silent auction and a cash bar.
