Alaska author Don Rearden signs his novel, “Raven’s Gift,” from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday at the Homer Bookstore. The dark and powerful tale is a survival story set in Alaska in the wake of a flu pandemic. Rearden was recently featured on “Talk of Alaska,” discussing his years growing up in southwestern Alaska and his inspiration for writing fiction.
