Nominations for the 2015 Arts Awards, presented annually by Homer Council on the Arts, are due Saturday at HCOA. The awards recognize individuals and businesses for extraordinary contributions to and achievements in the arts in these categories: Arts Leadership/Advocacy, Arts Education, Youth Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year, Arts Lifetime Achievement, Arts Business Patron and Volunteer of the Year. Deliver or mail nominations to 355 W. Pioneer Ave., Homer, AK 99603. Forms are available online. Print the forms, scan and then email to hcoa@homerart.org, or send an email with the names of nominees, the category for each, and a brief statement about why each one should be honored. The Arts Awards will be presented on Jan. 21, 2015, during HCOA’s annual meeting.
