BEST CRANIACS BET: Homer’s sandhill cranes started moving north in early March. They usually arrive around mid-April, but who knows with the crazy winter we have been having if the cranes just might be early this year. Kachemak Crane Watch is just as excited as the rest of the local craniacs to welcome the first cranes to town. So if you have a sighting, give us a call! Send sandhill crane sightings to Kachemak Crane Watch and include the date, location, behavior, number of cranes, and your name, phone number and email. For more information, contact Nina Faust at 907-235-6262 or reports@cranewatch.org.
