Nov. 12

A caller at 8:05 p.m. reported a vehicle with its door open on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene, contacted the registered owner and closed the door.

An officer at 7:43 p.m. assisted a motorist on Homer Bypass Road.

An officer at 8:33 p.m. assisted a motorist with traffic control at East Hill Road and Larkspur Court.

A caller at a local business at 10:17 p.m. reported a man trespassing on private property on Homer Bypass Road. Officers went to the scene and advised the man he was trespassed from the property. The people involved left the scene.

An officer at 10:19 p.m. gave a driver a traffic warning at Crittenden Drive and the Sterling Highway.

Nov. 13

A caller at 3:51 a.m. reported a person in need of medical help on Main Street. Officers went to the scene and medics were called.

A caller at 8:59 a.m. reported that a man was yelling and screaming at her on Spit Road and that she had left the area. An officer responded to the area.

An officer at 1:31 p.m. assisted Kenai Adult Probations on Heath Street.

A caller at 1:56 p.m. reported a woman trespassing on Main Street. An officer went to the scene but didn’t find the woman.

An agency at 2:56 p.m. reported a child locked in a vehicle on Hazel Avenue. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 4:54 p.m. reported a man camping in a closed campground on Karen Hornaday Road. An officer went to the area and no one was around. The officer left a note on the tent.

An officer assisted the Homer Volunteer Fire Department at 8:10 p.m. on Diamond Creek Place.

A caller at 8:23 p.m. reported a person “hiding behind the transformer box” at Poopdeck Street and Hazel Avenue. An officer responded and found people who were waiting for a ride.

An agency as 9:46 p.m. requested a welfare check be made on a suicidal person on Kachemak Drive. An officer contacted the person and they were transported to the hospital.

Nov. 14

A caller at 4:28 p.m. reported their son left the house on Nedosik Road and hadn’t returned. Officers went to the area and the son was located.

An officer at 6:24 p.m. cleared debris out of the road at North Fork Road and Alamar Road.

A man at 6:55 p.m. went to the police station requesting an officer for a civil standby on Gavin Court. An officer assisted the man.

An officer at 7:45 p.m. warned a driver for failing to yield at Pioneer Avenue and Bartlett Street.

An officer at 8:12 p.m. warned a driver for speeding at East End Road and Kramer Lane.

Officers at 11:15 p.m. arrested a 39-year-old man for trespassing and violating conditions of release on Homer Bypass Road.

Nov. 15

An officer at 10:42 a.m. removed debris from the road at Lake Street and Pioneer Avenue.

A caller at 10:57 a.m. reported a man “passed out” in a running vehicle on West Fairview Avenue. Officers went to the scene and arrested the 47-year-old man for driving under the influence.

A caller at 2:43 p.m. reported that a truck had lost its load out of the back on Spit Road. One lane was blocked and the driver was working on clearing the roadway.

A caller at 3:15 p.m. reported a ladder in the roadway at Rogers Loop Road and the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the area but didn’t find it.

Officers at 3:26 p.m. assisted medics on Kachemak Drive.

A caller at 4:59 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle on East Pioneer Avenue. Officers went to the area.

A caller at 5:09 p.m. reported an intoxicated man sitting in a vehicle on East End Road. Officers went to the area but the vehicle was gone when they got there.

An officer at 8:06 p.m. arrested a 23-year-old man for driving under the influence on Spit Road.

Nov. 16

A caller at 10:24 a.m. reported a vehicle with people in it on a lot on E Street and said they wanted the people to leave. Officers went to the scene and issued trespass notices to a man and a woman to keep them from the property.

A caller at 2:33 p.m. reported a man on property on Main Street who the caller believed shouldn’t be there. Officers responded but didn’t find anyone there.

Nov. 17

A caller at 1 p.m. reported a theft from a vehicle on Greatland Street. Officers went to the scene but the suspect was already gone.

An officer at 3:53 p.m. gave a driver a traffic warning on Spit Road.

A caller at 7:22 p.m. requested that a welfare check be made on a man on Kachemak Drive. Officers went to the location and found the man was uncooperative but OK.

A caller at 7:38 p.m. reported a highly intoxicated man walking in the road at Main Street and Pioneer Avenue. Officers went to the area but didn’t find anyone.

A caller at 8:32 p.m. reported an intoxicated man in a store on the Sterling Highway. An officer responded and the man fled on foot. The 24-year-old man was given a summons for fourth-degree theft.

Nov. 18

An officer at 2:47 a.m. checked on a person sleeping in a car on Spit Road.

An officer at 2:54 a.m. made a traffic stop on Spit Road. and arrested a 48-year-old man for driving under the influence, a weapons offense and for possessing an amphetamine.

A caller at 11:26 a.m. requested that a welfare check be made on an employee on Rosewood Court who did not show up for work and hadn’t been seen since Nov. 1.

A caller at 3:58 p.m. requested that a woman be given a trespass notice to keep her from a business on Ocean Drive Loop. An officer responded and trespassed the woman from the property for life.

A caller at 4:45 p.m. reported a vehicle collision at Lake Street and Grubstake Avenue. Officers went to the scene.

A caller at 5:07 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle in the area of Homer Bypass Road. An officer wasn’t able to find the vehicle.

An officer at 11:27 p.m. assisted a motorist get off the road until help arrived at East End Road and Kachemak Drive.

Officers at 11:37 p.m. assisted medics on East Pioneer Avenue.

Troopers

Nov. 19

Alaska State Troopers at 7:30 a.m. arrested a 30-year-old Homer woman after an investigation of a burglary at a residence near Mile 14 East End Road. The investigation showed forced entry had been made into the residence and the woman was staying at the residence. She was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail on charges of first-degree burglary, fifth-degree criminal mischief and violating conditions of release.

Ivan Konev, 48, third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, second-degree misconduct involving weapons and driving under the influence.
