Feb. 4

A caller at 9:26 a.m. reported someone had changed her locks while she was smoking on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene and discovered the report was unfounded.

A caller at 9:36 a.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle that passed on a blind hill at East End Road and Kachemak Drive. An officer responded to the area.

An agency at 11:20 a.m. reported that a child had left school grounds on Soundview Avenue. An officer went to the scene and the child was located.

A caller at 2:32 p.m. reported that a man was siphoning fuel from a vehicle in a parking lot at Kachemak Drive and Spit Road. An officer went to the scene and found the report was unfounded.

A caller at 3:54 p.m. reported suspicious paperwork on Lake Street. An officer went to the location.

An alarm company at 6:22 p.m. reported a commercial panic alarm on Spit Road. An officer went to the location and found it was a false alarm.

A caller at 7:13 p.m. reported an occupied vehicle at the end of West Fairview Avenue for 90 minutes. An officer went to the area and the vehicle was gone. The officer later found the vehicle at Bishop’s Beach.

An officer at 9:09 p.m. assisted a driver with a disabled vehicle at Pioneer Avenue and Heath Street.

An officer at 10:15 p.m. investigated a vehicle parked in the right of way on Fairview Avenue while the officer was on patrol. The officer attempted to contact the driver to have them move the vehicle for snow removal but wasn’t able to contact them.

An alarm company at 10:32 p.m. reported a burglary alarm going off at a building on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the location and found a man there. The officer found everything was OK and the keyholder came to the scene.

Feb. 5

An officer on patrol found a vehicle parked in the roadway on East Bunnell Avenue at 1:06 a.m. The officer issued a parking warning because the vehicle was impeding snow removal.

An officer on patrol contacted a man who was camping at 3:29 a.m. in a public bathroom at East Pioneer Avenue and Heath Street. The officer advised the man to move along.

A caller at 7:36 a.m. reported a man running in the middle of the roadway on Spit Road. An officer went to the area.

A caller at 8:18 a.m. reported an agitated man in the lobby of a building on Lake Street, requesting mental health assistance. An officer went to the scene and the man was taken to South Peninsula Hospital.

A city employee at 9:48 a.m. reported someone stuck in a snow berm at Pioneer Avenue and Kachemak Way. An officer went to the area.

A caller at 11:57 a.m. reported a person passed out in a vehicle on Spit Road. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 1:07 p.m. reported an aggressive driver following and tailgating her at East End Road and Meadow Drive. An officer went to the scene.

Multiple callers at 7:38 p.m. reported a man and woman engaged in a disturbance in the roadway at Main Street and East End Road. Officers went to the scene and contacted them. The woman was issued a trespass advisement to keep her from a business.

Feb. 6

A caller at 1:32 p.m. reported damage to mailboxes on Westwood Avenue. An officer went to the scene and the United States Postal Service was contacted.

A person flagged down an officer at 10:11 p.m. at an apartment complex on West Fairview Avenue. An officer took a report from the person.

An officer at 10:28 p.m. responded to a medical assistance call from Larry Lane.

An officer at 10:56 p.m. warned a driver for having expired registration at West Hill Road and the Sterling Highway.

Feb. 7

An officer issued a parking warning at 1:01 a.m. at Soundview Avenue and Forest Glen Drive.

A caller at 1:15 a.m. reported a suspicious man on West Bunnell Avenue. Officers went to the area, contacted the man and advised him to move along.

An officer at 1:40 a.m. investigated suspicious vehicles on Spit Road. During that time a person on probation was contacted and searched.

A caller at 7:30 a.m. reported a homeless man sleeping in a bus shelter at Heath Street and Grubstake Avenue. An officer went to the area but didn’t find the man.

An officer at 7:55 a.m. issued a parking warning on Soundview Avenue.

A caller at 9:05 a.m. requested help with traffic control while getting a vehicle out of the ditch at East Hill Road and East End Road. An officer went to the scene.

An officer at 11:45 a.m. investigated a vehicle collision at East End Road and Latham Lane.

A caller at 5:05 p.m. reported concern for a guest at a vacation rental on Grubstake Avenue. An officer attempted to locate the person.

A caller at 5:58 p.m. reported finding a dog at West Hill Road and Hillside Place. An officer secured the dog at the Homer Animal Shelter for the evening. The dog’s owner later got the dog from the shelter.

A caller at 6:35 p.m. reported being locked inside a closed business on the Sterling Highway. The building’s key holder was contacted and went to the scene.

A caller at 6:40 p.n. reported a domestic dispute with a family member on Linda Court. An officer went to the scene and separated the people involved for the evening.

A caller at 6:51 p.m. reported loud music in a neighboring apartment on Linda Court. Officers were already on the scene from the previous call. They weren’t able to locate any noise.

Feb. 8

An officer made a traffic stop at 3:06 a.m. at East End Road and Kachemak Drive that led to a consented search of the vehicle.

A caller at 11:30 a.m. reported a woman refusing to leave a business on East Pioneer Avenue. Officers went to the scene.

Officers participated in the Winter Carnival parade at 11:47 a.m. on Pioneer Avenue.

A caller at 12:04 p.m. requested a welfare check be made on a woman acting strange in a public building on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer responded.

A caller at 2:34 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle leaving a business on East Pioneer Avenue. Officers weren’t able to locate it.

Multiple callers at 5:26 p.m. reported a down tree blocking the roadway on West Pioneer Avenue. Public Works was advised.

A caller at 6:20 p.m. reported a down tree on a power line on West Hill Road. HEA was contacted.

A caller at 8:19 p.m. requested a welfare check on a woman acting strangely on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene and the woman moved along.

An officer at 10:28 p.m. checked and secured public bathrooms at West Pioneer Avenue and Bartlett Street. The officer found two people there and advised them to move along.

Feb. 9

A caller at 7:01 a.m. reported a possible break in at a location on Hillview Place. Officers went to the scene.

Callers at 9:49 a.m. reported a vehicle collision on West Pioneer Avenue with no injuries. An officer went to the scene.

A caller at 12:40 p.m. reported a woman causing a disturbance at a public building on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene and the woman was taken to South Peninsula Hospital.

Feb. 10

A caller at 12:21 p.m. reported a dog bite on East Hill Road. An officer was advised and the dog’s owner was given a citation.

A woman at 9:05 p.m. went to the police station requesting assistance from an officer. An officer spoke with the woman and her son.

Feb. 11

A caller at 12:15 a.m. reported a possibly deceased family member on Grubstake Avenue. An officer went to the scene.

An officer observed an abandoned vehicle at 5:15 a.m. at Rogers Loop Road and the Sterling Highway. The officer contacted the owner who was to have the vehicle removed.
