A caller at 8:13 a.m. reported a theft at an East End Road address.
A city worker at 10:15 a.m. reported a hit-and-run crash involving a city vehicle on Skyline Drive.
A caller at 11:53 a.m. asked police to issue a trespass notice to a person from a Main Street address. Police advised the person.
A caller at 11:58 a.m. asked police to issue a trespass notice to a person from a Mattox Street address. Police advised the person.
A caller at 5:19 p.m. reported a person outside in the cold wearing only a housecoat and slippers at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded but could not find the person.
A caller at 10:55 p.m. reported a sexual assault at a Bartlett Street address.
Nov. 29
A caller at 4:36 a.m. asked police to check on a friend who hadn’t come home to a Kramer Lane address. The caller called back and said the friend had been found and all was OK.
Several people at 11:50 a.m. came to the police station. Police provided assistance by standing by while property was exchanged.
The Alaska State Troopers at 12:20 p.m. asked for help contacting a person about recovered stolen property. Police went to an E Street home but could not find the person. They later contacted the person by phone.
A man at 12:45 p.m. came to the station and presented a fraudulent check.
A caller at 3:17 p.m. reported a hit-and-run crash in the parking lot of a Sterling Highway business.
A caller at 9:08 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a friend at a Ben Walters Lane address. Police responded and found all was OK.
Nov. 30
Police dispatchers at 9:09 a.m. received a 911 misdialed call. The caller said an Apple watch accidentally dialed.
Police at 9:21 a.m. did a public presentation.
A man at 12:05 p.m. turned in an item found at a Crittenden Drive address.
Police at 2 p.m. gave a presentation to students at Homer High School.
A caller at 4:28 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver swerving in the road and heading north near Mile 169 Sterling Highway. Police notified the Alaska State Troopers.
A caller at 7 p.m. asked to speak with an officer about being stalked. An officer tried to explain options to the caller, but the caller was uncooperative.
Dec. 1
Police at 2:54 a.m. contacted owners of vehicles parked in the street on Fairview Avenue and advised them to move the vehicles.
A caller at 10:53 p.m. reported suspicious activity after hours at a Lake Street business.
Police at 11:43 a.m. warned a person for driving an ATV in the road on Kachemak Drive.
A caller at 2:48 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a drunk person in the lobby of a Bunnell Avenue business.
A man at 1:27 p.m. came to the counter and reported a theft at a Calhoun Street address.
A caller at 4:09 p.m. reported a threatening phone call at a Bartlett Street address. Police responded.
A woman at 4:23 p.m. came to the counter to report suspicious activity.
A caller at 4:03 p.m. reported a shoplifter in custody at a Lake Street business. Police issued a summons to a 49-year-old woman for fourth-degree theft.
A person at 5:28 p.m. made a 911 call that a driver in a vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian on Heath Street. Police and medics responded.
A caller at 6:19 p.m. reported receiving harassing texts. Police advised the caller of options and also issued a trespass notice to a man.
A caller at 7:42 p.m. asked to speak to police regarding a civil issue.
Police at 9:13 p.m. stopped a person driving on the Sterling Highway and issued a warning for driving under the influence.
Dec. 2
A caller at 9:40 a.m. reported harassing communications via social media.
A caller at 10:15 a.m. reported a phone scam.
A man at 8 p.m. came to the counter to report losing a phone.
Dec. 3
A caller at 9:38 a.m. reported being harassed.
A person at 1 p.m. turned in identification found on Pioneer Avenue.
A person at 2:14 p.m. reported being concerned for a person walking on ice floes off the Spit. Police responded and found a parent in the area and all OK.
Police at 4:29 p.m. served a protective order.
A caller at 5:55 p.m. reported a burglary attempt at a Ben Walters Lane address.
A person at 5:49 p.m. made a 911 call with a REDDI report. Police stopped the suspect driver and arrested a 38-year-old woman for DUI and child endangerment.
Dec. 4
Police at 12:18 a.m. helped a loose dog by contacting its owner.
A caller at 3:39 a.m. reported work signs had been moved into the middle of West Hill Road near Hillside Place. Police moved the signs.
A person at 5:04 a.m. made a 911 call reporting strange noises outside a Lakeside Court home. Police responded.
A person at 4:44 p.m. reported a hit and run crash with no injuries on East End Road.
A caller at 10:17 p.m. reported an unattended bag at an FAA Road address.
Troopers
Nov. 14
Alaska State Troopers at 9:30 a.m. made a traffic stop for speeding on the driver of a maroon Chevrolet truck on the Sterling Highway near Blackwater Bend. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a maroon issued a citation to a 58-year-old Anchorage man for driving while license revoked.
Nov. 26
Troopers at 11:54 a.m. went to a single vehicle crash near Mile 167.5 Sterling Highway. Troopers said a 45-year-old Anchor Point woman lost control of her Dodge truck and crashed into trees. A passenger also was in the truck. Medics took the driver to the hospital. Troopers said alcohol may be a factor in the crash. Investigation is ongoing.
Troopers at 6:42 p.m. contacted a 43-year-old Anchor Point man while checking on a suspicious vehicle. Troopers arrested the man on an outstanding warrant.
Troopers at 8:46 p.m. went to a vehicle in the ditch off of Diamond Ridge Road. Troopers contacted a 30-year-old Homer man and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.
Nov. 27
Troopers at 3:15 p.m. received a report of a theft near Mile 132 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers said someone stole a small gas tank from a boat. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-478-HALT (478-4258).
Nov. 30
Troopers at 2 p.m. were notified of a search and rescue in the Port Graham area. A caller said a 34-year-old Port Graham man had taken his skiff out at 2 a.m. and had not been seen since. Troopers were asked to assist the U.S. Coast Guard in the search efforts. The Coast Guard launched a helicopter at 5:15 p.m. and found the man’s skiff on an island near Port Graham. Boats and searchers from Port Graham searched the area without success. On Dec. 1, troopers and wildlife troopers searched in the P/V Augustine and Port Graham residents searched on foot and by boat. An Alaska State Parks vessel and a Coast Guard cutter also searched. Later on Dec. 1 troopers got information that the man might be hiding outside Port Graham. On Dec. 2 troopers went to Port Graham and found the man safe in a makeshift camp near the village. However, he was not with a third-party custodian. Troopers arrested him for violating conditions of release.
Dec. 2
Troopers at 11:40 a.m. investigated a report of a theft in Anchor Point. During the investigation, troopers contacted a 22-year-old Homer man and found he had active warrants for his arrest and arrested him.

Judgments
Robert B. Jule, 54, Ninilchik, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $4,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $1,467 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for one year; and was placed on probation for two years.
John Duane K. Newton Jr., 18, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. He was fined $1,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend and pay restitution; ordered not to have contact with his victim; ordered to provide a DNA sample on request; and was placed on probation for one year.
Richard A. Gregoire, 36, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. He was fined $1,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 90 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to provide a DNA sample on request; and was placed on probation for one year.
